A small twist on my famous Rose Rolls, these are what I now call Pizza Roses!! Gorgeous soft flowery rolls with a deliciously satisfying cheesy chicken filling, they taste just like rolled up pizzas and are so delicious especially when warm.
INSTRUCTIONS
For the dough, I used my basic pizza dough. You can use the same dough as the Rose Rolls, but I find this dough works best with a cheesy filling as it is a lighter-textured dough (no egg added to it).
Here is the dough recipe: Pizza Dough (Makes 8 Pizza Roses)
For the filling, I have used my basic Pizza Sauce, Spicy Chicken, and some shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
The procedure for shaping the roses is exactly the same as before, with just a few extra touches. You can check the step by step pic here to see at which stage the pizza sauce and cheese are added: Pizza Roses Step by Step
After shaping the roses, if you are using the Pizza dough, allow them to rest for about half an hour or until the roses double in size before baking in a pre-heated oven at 180 C for about 20 minutes or until done. If using the Rose Rolls dough recipe, there will be no need to allow them to rest a second time, simply shape and bake!
Enjoy! :)

JZK. These turned out perfect. I made them for iftar and everyone loved them.
I found that the filling was enough for two recipes of dough.
Jazkillah. Your recipes are wonderful.
I am going to be using pizza dough.. So do i first knead the flour, leave it for an hour.
Then make thd roses, fill them with chicken and then leave them to rest for another 30 mins? A lot of your recipes are fusion.. And you are certainly original. I will be the first one to buy your book when published. Thank you.
Thanks! No need to give the roses time to rest, just shape and bake in a preheated oven.
hi fouziaa...i loved ur recipes its just wowww...asif i have a doubt can we make this pizza roses and keep in chiller and bake next day...
Hi and thank you! You can make and half-bake them so they hold their shape, then freeze and when ready to serve finish baking them until they are nicely coloured and serve.
