Makes 2-4 burgers

Tender juicy chicken breast fillet/steaks sandwiched in a burger bun with salad, tomato slices, onion and mayo. The perfect grilled-chicken burger!! :)

Ingredients
500 gm
boneless chicken breast
(trimmed and pounded lightly to flatten)
salt and pepper
1 tbsp.
oil
1 tbsp.
ketchup
1 tbsp.
soya sauce
1 tsp.
garlic paste
1 tsp.
ginger paste
pinch of turmeric
pinch of tandoori masala
1 tsp.
red chilli powder
1 tsp.
red chilli flakes
juice of half a lemon
Instructions

Marinate the chicken in all the above ingredients for at least 2 hours.

Now you can either:

Grill the chicken steak on a bbq grill on both sides until done (about 12-15 minutes per side)

OR

Heat a hot steak pan or heavy griddle, add 2 tbsp. of oil to it and fry the steak on medium heat for about 10 minutes per side. Then increase the heat and give it a final fry of about 3-4 minutes per side or until it begins to slightly char. Do not crowd the pan, fry a few pieces at a time.

Slice and lightly toast your burger buns, then add whatever condiments/fillings you like...ketchup, mayo, cheese, chili, salad, tomato, onions...etc. Add a chicken steak and cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve hot and enjoy!

A/S sis.i m vry mch thankful 2 u for ur superb receipes.sis what is tandori masala, where can i get it?

Fauzia's Kitchen Fun's picture

W/Salaam, tandoori masala is a type of spice that adds colour and flavour to food. You can find it in most supermarkets, some common brands are Shan or my fave, Natco. :)

Thank u soo mch for ur recipies... Rly helpful..

Fauzia's Kitchen Fun's picture

You can although taste is better with fresh ginger paste.

Ive an issue with the pattie.
Wen I fry it..it gets hard n dry..
How do I keep it juicy

Fauzia's Kitchen Fun's picture

W/Salaam, the trick is to avoid overcooking. Chicken WILL dry out fast if you cook it too long. Make sure the pan is hot and cook for no more than 4-5 minutes per side.

Your recipes are amazing. They never go wrong. You make cooking all the more easier and interesting. Made these today. The burgers turned out just perfect. Everyone loved them at home. Thank you so much. I'm sure fauzia kitchen is popular in every home.

When you say slice each breast into two layers, does this mean you get two burger pieces per chicken breast? Also, if yes to my question, then is that not too long a slice?

Fauzia's Kitchen Fun's picture

Yes, each breast will fill 2 burgers. And you can trim off the long edge after cooking and pile it on the burger.
