Cake, Custard and Fruit Trifle

Had some leftover plain vanilla cake at home, so decided to make a trifle! Made custard (recipe Here), chopped some fruit and layered first the pieces of cake, followed by some fruit then the custard, and repeated. Serve chilled!!

TIP: You can also add some layers of whipped cream or pieces of jelly if you like! :)

to make this trifle,should i put hot custard or should i 1st refrigerate & then add on fruits &cake?

Allow the custard to cool at least to room temperature or even slightly colder before layering with the fruits and cake.
